Santa Just Wrote Me!!!!!

Sunday, November 30, 2008

What a nice surprise Robert!

Thank you for sending me your email all the way from Albert City! The Net sure is wonderful because now I never feel lonely all the way up at the North Pole. I can get those wonderful Christmas emails any time of the year now, but it's always special when I get one from you, Robert.

Christmas trees dont talk, silly! (*wink*)!Well bless my whiskers, Robert, I can't believe you're 8 years old already! You're getting to be quite a big boy! I'm really glad you still wrote me though because I'm sure some of your friends have said things about me. Of course, I'll bet they never got a magic letter like this directly from Santa Claus himself! (*wink*) I also hear you've been a REALLY REALLY good boy. (Of course, you won't mind if I do a little checking, will you? HO!! Ho!! ho!!).

Let's see what you put in your letter for Christmas wishes: 1. a window seat to watch squirrels and bunnies play.; 2. stuffed teenie sardini and; 3. stuffed cocktail weiner dog. May all your Christmas wishes come true!HO!! Ho!! ho!! That's exactly what I thought you might like! Of course, there's only so much room in the sleigh so I hope you won't be too upset with me if I can't bring you everything you asked for.

Oh yes, before I forget Robert, the elves really want you to visit my new blog! It is called Santa Claus' Christmas Blog. My blog is all about Christmas, life at the North Pole, and me, Santa Claus ! You can even write messages to me and see what others have written. I can hardly wait to see what you write!

Oh! oh! I just got a report from an elf that a little boy who lives close to you was being very naughty! Guess I better end my letter to you so I can change my Naughty & Nice List again. Take care Robert and don't forget to come back and visit me here at EmailSanta.com on Christmas Eve!! And remember... only 25 more sleeps until Christmas!!

Wishing you a very Merry Christmas,
Santa Claus

Dear Santa, ... I promise I've been good ...

Dear Santa,

I've been a REALLY purrrfect boy this year. So, I have three things on my Christmas list and hope you will find it in your heart to drop them off at my house come Christmas day. I'll be sure to have Mommy put out some milk and cookies for you. I'll even be sure to sprinkle a little cat nip for you on the cookies since it might help make your flight home to the North Pole more fun!

This year, I'd like three Catnip cat toys by Fat Cat including: one Cocktail Wiener Dog, one Teenie Sardini, and one Mouse A Roni.

I already have a Teenie Sardini, but lately I can't find him. He went missing one day when I was playing with him so I need a replacement for him. Mommy says he has to be somewhere in the house, but I swear that I cannot find him anywhere! So, if you could drop off another one for me this Christmas I will be most grateful! Thank you for listening, Santa!

Sincerely,

Robert

Only One Day Left ...

Well, there's only one day left until Thanksgiving! Then it is time to indulge in yummy food and good company among family and friends.

Me giving the ol' relax and look how cute I am pose.

Yesterday, Mommy took some new photos of me in the dining room. So, I thought I'd share the three photos she took of me in this blog entry today.

Me up close and personal.

Me posing next to the rose bouquet on the table. Don't I make a handsome centerpiece?

By the way, one of my favorite singers is a young man by the name of Declan Galbraith. Declan is huge deal in Europe. I'm hoping he catches on huge in the U.S. as well. Click the arrow above to watch the YouTube video of the amazing talent that is young Declan Galbraith.

With only one day until Thanksgiving, I will leave you with this fun song by Jerry ...

Well, that's all for now. Thanks for stopping by my Blog. Until next time, I hope you have a terrific day!!! ~ Robert

Happy Tuesday ...

Me lounging on Daddy's lap wrapped up in one of my baby blankets.

Hi there! It is a little cool outside but the sun is shining. I like to watch the bunnies and squirrels playing in the yard from the nice warm house I share with Mommy and Daddy.

Mommy's cousin Carolyn of Chicago sent some fun Halloween photos taken last month that I thought I'd share with you ...

Brandon and Cassie, Carolyn's daughter.

Cassie and Brandon looking a little more serious.

Tony, the lovely young guy who is now living with Carolyn.

Earlier Carolyn sent Mommy a photo taken while celebrating Cassie's birthday. Carolyn got a limo to take Cassie and her friends out for some fun. See photo below ...

Cassie and Carolyn are pictured standing second and third from the left in the above photo.

Have a terrific day! ~ Robert

Happy weekend!!!!

Facing toward the church across the street.

So, this morning we got some snow here in Albert City. Mommy stepped outside briefly once the snow quit falling and snapped some photos.

Facing toward the next door neighbor's yard.

Snow on fall wreath that is located on the front of our house.

When Mommy came in the house to put the camera away, she caught me lounging on the kitchen table. (I love to crawl up here and hang out when Mommy and Daddy are not looking!)

Me lounging on the kitchen table. At the time, I didn't know Mommy was about the catch me in the act.

I turned my head toward Mommy when she told me I wasn't supposed to be hanging out on the kitchen table and said I should get down.

Later, Mommy, forgave me and fed me some lunch. Above you can see me chowing down on my chicken and chicken liver in savory sauce that Mommy fed me.

After lunch, I went into the Family Room and lounged by the antique humidor that sets in one of the corners.

It seems to be turning out to be a nice day around here, despite the snow. Mommy told me it is only 27 degrees outside and it feels like it is 19 degrees. Lucky for me, I get to stay inside where it is warm and cozy. Have a super weekend and upcoming week!!! ~ Robert

It's Saturday ...

It's a beautiful fall day today in Albert City. Above you can see the town's Dala horse has been moved to the yard across the street from our house. The words below it say: "Albert City: How Swede It Is!"

Meanwhile, Mommy put a fresh sheet on the formal living room sofa for me nap on, so I wouldn't get cat hair on the furniture. So, I decided to try it out ...

I was not happy when Mommy woke me up for lunch, so I yelled at her as you can see by the above photo.

When Mommy told me we don't use "that kind of language in our house" and my "back talk" was inappropriate, I cooled it.

I was still not pleased I got woke up though. So, I stuck my tongue out at Mommy as she walked away. Luckily Mommy didn't notice this as it surely would have earned me some "time-out" if she had noticed.

Mommy and Daddy got me some new food to try when we all went to my Vet appointment on Friday. The new food is a Venison Formula, a Duck Formula, and Chicken Liver and Chicken in Savory Sauce. Last night Mommy gave me some of the Venison, but I got to admit that I wasn't too wild about it. Let's just say, "Bambi in a can tastes a little too gamey for my tastes." I think Mommy is going to let me try the Duck Formula today so, I'll see if "Daffey in Can" tastes any better than "Bambi" did.

For now though, I was content to go back to my usual A/D Prescription Diet of Chicken Entree. I must say, "The Venerable Foghorn Leghorn in a Can" is much more tasty than "Bambi in a Can".

Happy Sunday!

Happy Sunday! It is a cold and overcast day outside, but I don't care because I am hanging out in the nice warm house with Mommy and Daddy today. After Mommy fed me breakfast I took some time to relax on Daddy's lap for a while.

Later Daddy went to the kitchen to mix up some stuff for beef stew. He put it in the crock pot and it is making the house smell yummy! While Daddy did this, he left me on the recliner sitting on top of one of my Baby blankets.

By the way, did I tell you that Mommy got an adorable miniature Manx figurine that looks a lot like me? Well, she did. She has it displayed on top of my "cat treats" canister in the kitchen next to a photo of me that was taken back when we lived in Napa. Mommy got the Manx figurine from someone in Singapore that sells them online.

I usually spend part of my mornings looking out the formal living room window, and watching bunnies and squirrels in the yard. Mommy took this photo shown below of me this morning when I was taking a small break from my morning window viewing routine to wash up after my breakfast.

On Saturday Albert City was a hub-hub of activity. Mommy took the photo below of our small-town's Main Street when she had to make a trip to the post office. As you can see, cars lined both ends of the street.

Glad to see that in hard economic times, small towns like Albert City can still remain active!

By the way, Aunt Judy sent Mommy and Daddy a photo of my newly adopted cousins, Rudy and Mimi. You can see the photo of them above. They are watching a mouse outside of their old house they used to live in before Aunt Judy adopted them. Rudy is the darker blue cream one and Mimi is the tortoise shell mixed throughout her blue cream coat one. It sounds like Rudy and Mimi are adjusting well to their new home in Taos, N.M. with Aunt Judy.

I thought I'd also share with you some photos taken about a year-and-a-half ago when Mommy and Daddy were in Carmel Valley, CA visiting my step-uncle Charlie ...

Mommy sitting by an area that shows this big bridge.

Above, Mommy is shown in Big Sur, located in the Carmel Valley area.

Daddy ocean-side in Monterey.

Daddy and Mommy, ocean-side in Monterey. Gotta love Mommy's Mickey Mouse pants! Although, they would surely be even more cute if they pictured Garfield or Sylvester. But, can't have everything. And, she bought them, I didn't!

Have a super Sunday! ~ Robert

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow ...

Oh the weather outside is frightful. But inside it's so delightful. Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow ...

Mommy and Daddy are going out to eat with the nice neighbors across the street. I guess this new Thai restaurant opened up in Storm Lake so they are going the try it out. They are looking forward to it. They are going to, in part, celebrate Obama's victory as president.

The only problem I have so far is that Obama has promised his daughters a new puppy. Hey, why not a new kitten, huh? What about that?!? I mean the U.S. deserves some feline representation, too. That's it! I'm protesting!!!! Hiss, hiss ... Me-e-e-e-O-o-o-w!!!!!! ~ Robert

P.S. ~ By the way, what's with that Will-I-Am guys name? Hhhmmm ... I wonder if he likes green eggs and ham?
