Happy Monday!

So, Daddy completed the wine cabinet he has been building for the dining room. Once I have some photos of it, I'll load them up on my blog so you can see them. I think it turned out great. I already tried to crawl inside of it, but that plan didn't turn out so well.

Meanwhile, below is a photo of the wine glasses Mommy got on eBay to display in the wine cabinet. They were made in Italy. The gold detail on them is 18 karat, and they are elegant and gorgeous! I've been instructed by Mommy to stay out of the wine cabinet from now on so I don't break anything.

Tonight I'm going to hang out with Mommy as Daddy has a historical society meeting downtown.

Have a most purrrfect day!

Home improvements ...

So, Mommy and Daddy are doing all the lighting downstairs in our home in Stained Glass. Below are photos of what the two ceiling fans they are hoping to install in the living room area of our home look like. Very stunning!

The living room ceiling fans are Hampton Bay, 52-inch. They are designed by Dale Tiffany and are bronze with Walnut Blades. Eventually Mommy and Daddy hope to put in a beautiful tin ceiling, which will look great since the ceilings in our home are so tall. They will also replace the crown molding to be more period-correct looking.

Below is a sample of what a tin ceiling panel looks like ... this, of course, doesn't give the whole impact since it doesn't show an entire ceiling and there is no crown molding pictured. Tin ceilings come in a dazzling array of finishes, and are supposedly easy to install. I think adding a tin ceiling will ultimately take our living room ceiling from boring to brilliant!

Spring is on its way!

So, I woke up this morning and noticed how bright the sun was coming in from the bedroom window. It looks like Spring is finally on its way at last!

It's been a busy week for Mommy and Daddy. In addition to working, they hung Daddy's mother's antique Tiffany chandelier that he inherited in the dining room, and they reupholstered the dining chairs. Their dining table and chairs are pre-1920 Duncan Phyfe that was manufactured in Chicago. It goes nicely with their 1922 made sideboard server, which was also made in Chicago. Duncan Phyfe is most famous for his simple style, a reaction to the imported French designs popular at the time. In addition to the home where I live with Mommy and Daddy, Duncan Phyfe's furniture can be seen in the White House Green Room.

I'm happy Spring is coming, because that means there will be more song birds and bunnies that I can watch playing in the yard from my indoor living room window perch. Have a happy day!
