Loving Life Each Day!

So my world is pretty great. I have a loving mommy and daddy that take good care of me everyday. It is fun to watch the cars and trucks drive by the living room window, or the birds and squirrels playing in the yard. It is cold and snowy outside now so I am glad to be safe and warm inside my beautiful home. This photo was taken by Mommy in the dining room for Valentine's Day. Stunningly handsome aren't I?

The dining room is one of my favorite rooms in my home. This photo shows the colorful bird collection along one of the walls.

This statue is in the corner of the dining room and belongs to my Daddy. He inherited it from his Mommy's antique store. Daddy also made the table that the statue stands on.

This view in the dining room is taken looking toward the informal living room. It shows a smaller display case hanging on the wall by the doorway that contains more bird figurines.

Bird and flora prints by artist Arthur Singer are on the wall in the dining room next to the two doorways. Mommy got these from her mother. They used to hang in the living room over the piano at the house Mommy grew up in. One of America's finest wildlife painters, Arthur Singer was renowned for his illustrations of birds and animals in their natural habitats. After studying at the Cooper Union School of Art in New York, he worked with the Allies during World War II to conceive camouflage schemes for tanks, which required keen observations of terrain and moving objects when viewed from the air. His bold, fresh style emphasizing color, form, and movement is evident in his many lavishly illustrated books, which are well known to bird watchers.

Above is the display on top of the sideboard in the dining room.

The above photo was taken looking into the dining room from the informal living room. Look how bright and cheery it is! This particular photo was taken around Christmas time so there is different centerpiece on the table.

And, here are the dishes that Mommy and Daddy use for formal dinners and gatherings in the dining room. Simply lovely aren't they? It's Mommy and Daddy's wedding dishes set. They use these with Mommy's grandmother's formal silverware set that she inherited.

The above diagram shows how Mommy sets the table when guests come to eat. Lovely, isn't it?
