Fun downstairs bathroom ...

So here are some photos of the really fun downstairs bathroom. As you can see, the downstairs bathroom has predominantly a surfing and ocean theme to it.

Daddy's surfboard sits between the sink and the window. And, the towels have little surfboards on them, too.

Daddy's Elvis Blue Hawaii album is above the sink.

Daddy's Blue Hawaii Elvis action figurine complete with a surfboard in its original box is displayed on the top shelf above the washer and dryer.

On the wall that separates the shower from the main part of the washer and dryer area, there is a fun tin wall hanging of a woody and surfboards.

Here is another photo that shows the shower and the washer and dryer.

Above is a photo of all the cute things displayed on the shelves Daddy built and hung above the washer and dryer.

Above is a close-up of Daddy's Hawaiian Tiki War God, "Ku." He sets on the right side of the top shelf and measures 13" tall.

A woody with a surfboard on the hood and a hula girl are on the right side of lower shelf.

The bottom shelf that hangs above the washer and dryer is full of things that are colorful and fun, as you can see.

Two fun pieces of wall art are displayed on the wall between the window and the shower.

Two surfing movie advertisements from 1963 and 1964 hang above the toilet.

View of the walls above the toilet is playful and fun.

A close-up of the fish net. The picture on the left is Mommy on the beach at Pt. Reyes in California. The middle print has two children running through the ocean shoreline and says, "It's a beautiful talent to know how to play!" The framed art on the right tells about "The Legend of the Sand Dollar." The fish net and sea rope originally hung in Mommy's first apartment after she graduated from college, and the wicker fish originally hung in Mommy's family's lake home.

The new washer and dryer Daddy recently bought is also located in the downstairs bathroom. The two shelves Daddy made hang above. More items will be added to the shelves. Once they are I'll have Mommy take another photo to add to my blog.

Meanwhile, some of the things on the shelves, in addition to the Blue Hawaii Elvis action doll, include: Mommy's fish collection she bought back at Pier One Imports in the late 1990s in Des Moines, and Daddy miniature 1967 VW bus and caravan. (See photos below.)

Daddy also recently installed a shelf at the bottom of the sink to make it more organized and finished looking. The photo below shows him in action.

Have a great week! ~ Robert
