Bird watching is my new hobby ...

Sorry I haven't blogged for a while. I've been having too much fun watching birds play in the lawn and eat from their bird feeder from my new kitty perch in the family room. Have a purrfect day!!!

New tree planted in front yard.

Just thought I'd share a photo of the hydrangea tree that daddy planted in our front yard. Once mature, this tree will be between 8 and 10 ft. tall and be covered with large hydrangea flowers blooming in a fuchsia color throughout the spring and summer months. This year, daddy and mommy planted some Impatiens flowers around the tree since it is too young to bloom this year. Once the Impatiens grow and develop, it should add a nice splash of color to our front yard.

It's another snowy day here where I live. Mommy said she heard on the TV weather report that it is supposed to be snowy most of the day. Regardless, I get to stay inside where it is warm and cozy so I don't really mind the snow at all.

It is snowy today outside my house. Below are some photos of my house with snow all around it ...

... But I don't care if there is snow outside. I am inside where it is warm and cozy!

As you can see by the above photos, I love sitting on my Daddy's lap, because he pets me and snuggles with me. I also love sitting on Mommy's lap, but couldn't do that when these photos were taken since she was the one who took the photos shown above.

HAPPY SATURDAY!

Happy Saturday! The good news on my end is that my vet appointment this morning went smoothly. Luckily, after a thorough check-up the vet determined that I do not have an upper respiratory infection after all, as was originally suspected. (My Mommy tends to freak out if I show any signs of a cold or illness, so she took me to get checked out at the vet this morning. Mommy is rather overprotective sometimes, I think, but I'm glad she cares enough to make sure that I am always OK.) Anyway, my temperature seemed normal this morning and my heart sounds good. I also don't appear to have any swelling on my gums or anything. (Sometimes dental problems in cats can cause sneezing.) The vet thinks that my sneezing and puffiness around my eyes is a result of inflammation of my sinuses due to excessive dryness in my nostrils and nasal passages. Daddy and Mommy have been instructed to run our dehumidifier more often since that might help with the winter dryness throughout our house, which is likely causing my current problem. So, it doesn't sound like anything too serious, and I will should be fine. The cooler temperatures this winter means our furnace has been running more often, and this makes our house more dry inside.

Hi there! Thanks for stopping by. It is a sunny, cool winter's day right now. I'm happy to be a "house kitty" so I can spend the day snoozing in the warm house on top of the formal living room love seat. Nice and cozy!!!
